Valley Creek Apartments is ideally located to many shops, restaurants, events spaces, parks, and more. Now that the weather is getting warmer, you can also take advantage of outdoor Farmers Markets. Most won’t open until June, but these two markets are open now for when you want to visit some Farmers Markets in Woodbury for all your fresh produce needs!
Woodbury Farmers Market
Woodbury Farmers Market is just eight miles away in the parking lot of the YMCA at Central Park Place. Come enjoy the fresh seasonal products and community atmosphere. Since it’s April, cool weather crops are up! This means asparagus, arugula, beets, kale, and parsnips are on the menu. Now that the growing season is here, it’s time to pick up starter plants for your flower baskets and flower gardens as well as herbs like rosemary and tarragon for a kitchen garden.
Novak’s Orchard is just one of the many local farms bringing their fresh goods to market. Novak’s supplies apples, grapes, pears, plums, and rhubarb to both this market and St Paul Farmers Market.
Location: 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury 55125
Time: Sundays, 8 AM – 1 PM
St. Paul Farmers Market
St. Paul Farmers Market is a little bit longer of a drive than some other Farmers Markets in Woodbury, but it’s well worth the trip. This larger market includes farms offering excellent products and other stalls with artisanal goods and crafts. Stop by the White Bear Soap Company for some of their handmade scented soaps. Wolf Honey Farm carries amazing, all-natural honey. Other stalls offer baked goods, organic meats, and more.
In addition to all the excellent shopping opportunities, this market has live music, giving it a festive and relaxing feel. It is open Saturdays and Sundays.
Location: 290 5th St E, Lowertown, Downtown St. Paul.
Time: Saturdays, 6 PM – 1 PM, Sundays, 9 AM – 1PM
