Visit The Irish Fair of Minnesota

If you want to enjoy the culture of the Emerald Isle without having to take a transatlantic flight, visit the Irish Fair of Minnesota where you can listen to upbeat tunes, sample delicious food, and so much more.

The fun takes place August 11-13, and it is the largest free Irish fair in the United States.

In addition to being recognized as one of the most-family friendly events in the Twin Cities, it is also recognized as the most authentic festival of its type in the country.

Highlights include:

Musical Guests

The fair’s musical lineup is fairly diverse, and headlining acts include:

Eileen Ivers – The fair states that Grammy Award-winning artist and nine-time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion Eileen Ivers has established herself as the pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle. She knows how to entertain a crowd and was an original musical star of Riverdance.

Socks in the Frying Pan – Socks in the Frying Pan hails from County Clare and is one of the most sought after groups in Irish music today. They’re known for their dynamic harmonies and onstage wit that has captivated audiences across the globe.

Celtic Kitchen

New this year, the Celtic Kitchen will host food-related events such as food demonstrations and food fight chef competitions. On opening day, Chef Eric McBride will tell fun facts about Irish cuisine while showing off his cooking skills.

Performance Dance Tent

When Riverdance began about twenty years ago, interest in Irish dance really took off. Dance schools from across the state will teach fair goers how to dance jigs, reels, and more.

The fair is just one of the fun events that you can enjoy if you call Valley Creek Apartments home. Please contact us to schedule a tour.
