November 9th through January 13th, the Park Square Theatre will be performing Triple Espresso on the Andy Boss Thrust Stage. Stop by and follow musician Hugh Butternut, illusionist Buzz Maxwell, and comic entertainer Bobby Bean in a high-energy Vaudeville-inspired comedy where nothing seems to go right!
The Hip Hop Nutcracker with Guest MC Kurtis Blow
On November 20th and 21st, the Ordway Concert Hall will present The Hip Hop Nutcracker, a modern twist on Tchaikovsky’s classical music. Usually seen as a traditional ballet, this upbeat version has energetic choreography from Jennifer Weber. Weber is Artistic Director of the theatrical hip-hop dance company, Decadancetheatre.
Maria and Rosetta
Come back to the Park Square Theatre on November 20th through December for Marie and Rosetta on the Proscenium Stage. This inspiring play tells the story of Sister Rosetta Tharpe who meshed swing and gospel and inspired the likes of Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, and Ray Charles. Follow Rosetta and her student Marie Knight in their rise to stardom.
Thanksgiving Break at the Minnesota History Center
From November 23rd to 25th, the Minnesota History Center will be hosting art activities and performances related to their Somalis + Minnesota exhibit.
